The challenge?
Our team in Portugal is developing, and we’re welcoming an experienced civil engineer hydraulics to develop it with us: someone with a real affinity for hydraulics, water resources, and the management of rivers and coastal zones. If you’ve carried that as far as a PhD in hydraulic design or physical modelling, so much the better, but it’s the depth of your relationship with water we’re after, not the certificate.
You’d look closely with us at river catchments, coastal areas and estuaries, to develop plans and designs fluent in the state-of-the-art guidelines and standards, and critical of them too, because a standard is a place to start thinking, not a place to stop. You’d put that rigor to engineer innovative, nature-based solutions for coastal resilience and port development.

We work on the border between Real-World Applications and Research Challenges. Our services rely on blending state of the art technics in numerical modelling, data science and earth observation systems. In order to support and our teams implementing our digitalization strategy, we are looking for an experienced and open-minded full stack developer with solid experience in programming and cloud computing.
Do you recognize yourself into this profile?
You have:
- A MSc degree or PhD degree in civil engineering and +/- 5 to 10 years of experience.
- Critical knowledge of hydraulic design of maritime structures, coasts and rivers (erosion protection, breakwaters, rock-berms, dikes, etc.)
- Experience with GIS and programming skills, preferable Python.
- An interest in client interaction and tendering.
- Communicative fluency and interest in managing projects.
- A flexible, growth-mindset and positive attitude.
- A live-learning attitude.
- Empathy, a constructive attitude to deal with different viewpoints and opinions.
